Ibiza!

Ibiza from the plane!
Old town/Ibiza town.
There were tons of cool little land masses around the island. We got to see them all on the boat ride to Es Cana.
Beautiful coastline in Es Cana (where the Hippy Market was).
Huge Hippy Market!
There were tons of great places to eat outside at night.
Our beautiful hotel pool.
Old Town had lots of really cool statues and historical things here and there.
View from on top of the wall.
The view from our hotel window.
 Really tasty paella!
Our American friends boat. We met two young men who, with their older captain, were hired to sail this woman from California around the Mediterranean for a year! What a great job!
Area around the beach by our hotel.
We took a bus ride across the island the last day to watch the sunset and go to one of the big club's opening nights. Above is the restaurant we chose to watch the beautiful sunset.
Jane and I with our dinners watching the sunset.

A bunch of beach bars along the coast in San Antonio.
 Nighttime at the bars.
Es Paradis was the club we chose for the night since it was having its opening party!
The inside of the club was unlike anything I had ever seen before. It reminded me of something in Las Vegas!
I thought the DJ booth was pretty cool.
The dancers above us were really good and there were also some people in fabric hanging from the ceilings which reminded me of something out of Cirque Du Soleil.
On our last day we walked around town a bit more and had a nice lunch before catching our plane back to Leeds. Ibiza was such a relaxing escape and I fell in love with the island! I would love to go back and explore more someday.

Charles Morris Masquerade and Other Fun!

The Charles Morris Masquerade was so much fun! A lot of the girls from my floor went as well as Georgia and the gang from the other dorm (below).
We loved getting to wear our masks!
My birthday party was also a lot of fun and I forgot to put pictures up before so these are a few nice ones.
Some nice study abroad girls that I have met during my time here.
Friends from Whetton Hall.
Christina and Erin were kind enough to cook me these lovely cupcakes!
The other day we went out to get some authentic Indian cuisine at a restaurant that Bhadra loves. It was a really great meal!

The Royal Wedding!

The day before the trip down to see the royal wedding, I finally decided that I had to be a part of the fun. I booked my spot and prepared to see history. It was obvious the minute we arrived in London that the city was ready for the wedding.
It was the morning before and people were already claiming their seats.
After seeing all of the people already out there we decided we'd better camp out as well to make sure we'd have a good view in the morning.
The news booths from around the world were lit up all night.
One very jolly British man started a congo line around 3 am. We decided we had to join for at least a little bit.
my happy camp-out face.
 All of us!
Everyone was awake and ready to go in the morning as the wedding drew closer.
Interviews started happening in the crowds.
These nice ladies performed a song for one of the news stations.
Everyone's signs and flags were back in the air.
Wedding photographers were all getting ready for the procession.
Two of my favorite people, Anderson Cooper and Cat Deeley
I think this one is Princess Beatrice because I can see the outline of her ridiculous hat.
The Queen waving to the crowd on the way to the wedding!
Kate and her father on their way.
Kate and Will after the wedding!
Prince Harry waving to the crowd after the wedding.
The Queen in her carriage after the wedding.
The royal family after the wedding!
Another shot of the family. We weren't as close for this part of the event.
The crowds leaving after the event. I love the guy's hat in the middle of all the flags!
Where a lot of people sat down after the wedding. The whole wedding event and procession was beyond amazing. I am so incredibly happy that I went and that we decided to camp out and do the whole event properly. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience!
