Paris and Versailles Trip with Elise!

After the Summer ball and final Otley run Elise and I hopped on a train to Paris! The night we arrived we had a quick dinner and took a nighttime cruise down the Seine River, which was beautiful!

We walked over to the tower after the ride and got some really great pictures up close. We also got to see it sparkle while standing right under it which was amazing!

The next day we did some walking tours led by true Parisians. I learned a lot about the city that I never knew before!

 This plaza is where the Ritz Hotel is located which is where Chanel lived for a while and also where Princess Diana spent her last night.

The weather wasn't perfect but we had a great time anyways and I got to wear my cute new poncho from London! The next day we got up early and headed to Versailles.

 I wasn't sure what to expect at Versailles and I was definitely blown away by the beauty and size of the estate.

 The layout of this main section reminded me of DC which I later learned was modeled somewhat after the layout of Versailles.

Everything about Versailles was magical and I am so glad we made the effort to go visit it!

We ended our lovely trip with dinner at my favorite cafe from the last visit. We also went and saw the new movie Midnight in Paris because Erin told me it was really fun to watch while actually being in the city. Erin was definitely right because we adored the movie and they literally went to all of the same spots we had been to! They even took a day trip to Versailles just like us! The fashion in the movie was also outstanding which Elise and I enjoyed. It was also a great experience to watch the movie with Parisians. At one point Owen Wilson's character is asking for directions in English and the Parisians in the movie just ignore him which got quite a few chuckles out of the Parisians sitting around us. Our Paris trip was wonderful and I was so glad Elise was able to be there with me!
