This week we did some more exploring of downtown as well as some of the smaller areas around campus. Early in the week Christina and I did some shopping downtown and we ran into a fantastic little shopping district. I ended up buying some great shoes from Top Shop which is a store we don't have in the US as well as a bright retro style zip up from H&M. I ended up wearing the zip up to lacrosse the next night and all the girls loved it. Below is a picture of the shoes which are definitely an essential item to have if you want to fit in in England.
The shopping district we found had tons of great stores as well as a lot of really fantastic street performers.
Jaldi Jaldi isn't actually in the shopping area but it is my favorite place to get curry. Wednesday, Christina, Georgia, Erin and I went the opposite way of downtown to explore a smaller area close to campus. We went in a nice little cafe to eat a good meal and have some nice warm drinks. We also went in a great antique/vintage store on the way back and I bought an awesome little ring.
The hot chocolate was delicious and had adorable marshmallows served with it. Tomorrow morning we head off for London and I could not be more excited! It should be an amazing trip and I'm sure I will have tons of pictures to post Sunday night.
